It was a marvellous game on a great turf field.
Each team exchanging goals right to the end.
Unfortunately the refereee made the decision to send a player from Vancouver United off the field for unsportsman like behaviour with 15 minutes left in regular time.
This was enough to swing the balance of attack in UBC's favour and within a few minutes they tied up the game.
With Vancouver United one man short, the game went end to end for the first 15 minutes of overtime, as they tried to hold on for penalty kicks.
UBC scored the golden goal on the second overtime to clinch the title.
